About

Hello, my name is James.

I’m a financial coach based right here in Regina, Saskatchewan.

My coaching philosophy is simple: thoughtful stewardship of your finances is one of the most powerful tools you have for building a life you love. I’m deeply passionate about helping people turn money stress into clarity and confidence.

I coach using the Pathway Method, five stages I rely on with every client: Assess, Anchor, Ascend, Accelerate, Arrive. It’s practical and sequential, and a setback doesn’t mean starting over, just picking up at the right stage. See how each stage works

My training is through Ramsey Solutions’ coaching program, and that foundation still shows up in how I think about debt and behaviour.

My commitment is to be the partner who helps you get there. Whether your immediate goal is saving for a down payment, investing for retirement, or eliminating debt for good, which matters most, I provide the practical guidance, clear strategy and accountability you need. The objective isn’t just to manage money. It’s to help you secure financial freedom and peace of mind, so you can live life on your own terms.

What is financial coaching?

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by debt, unsure where your money goes, or anxious about saving for the future, you know managing money can feel complicated. That’s where financial coaching comes in.

Simply put, a financial coach is your dedicated, non-judgmental partner, focused solely on helping you master the practical, day-to-day use of your money.

What coaching isn’t

Financial planning
I don’t sell investments or insurance, and I don’t recommend specific financial products.
Tax advice
I’m not a licensed accountant, and I won’t prepare your tax returns.

What coaching is

Clarity
We look at your income, expenses and debt so you know exactly where you stand.
Strategy
We build a simple, customized plan to pay off debt, build an emergency fund and start saving.
Habits
We work on the behaviours and budgeting systems that make your plan last.
Accountability
I provide the encouragement and structure to keep you on track, and I celebrate the wins with you.

Think of it this way: financial coaching is about building the strong foundation and solid habits you need to take control of your money, reduce stress, and confidently build the future you want.

One thing worth knowing up front

If you have a spouse or partner, I strongly encourage you to do this together. Money works best when two people are pulling the same direction, and I’ve found lasting change happens fastest when both of you are involved. I’ll still work with you if your partner isn’t ready to join yet, we’ll just talk early about bringing them in. More on that in the FAQ
